Buzkashi is the national sport of
Afghanistan. Buzkashi is a traditional Central Asian team sport
played on horseback in Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan,
Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. It's also a popular sport
among the south Central Asians such as Hazaras and Pashtuns, and a
few places in Turkey. A Buzkashi player is called a chapandaz.
