An izar
is a long, light weight cloth that can be easily wrapped around
the waist by tying two ends of the garment into a large knot.
Hits right at the shin and can be easily adjusted. Normally, it
is worn over street clothes by Muslim men at the time of prayer
in order to cover the body and be modest. Also worn by men in
most parts of South and Southeast (Philippines, Brunei, Myanmar,
Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore,
Thailand, Vietnam , Christmas Island, Cocos (Keeling) Islands,
Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Bangladesh,
Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma
and China - (Tibet Autonomous Region). One size fits all. Made
in India. All are white, the stripes have different colors.
